Financial Accountant Position
This role is open for a detail-oriented and organized Financial Accountant who will be responsible for managing the monthly close process, preparing financial statements, and overseeing a small team.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage the completion and preparation of monthly financial statements to corporate headquarters
* Coordinate the monthly close process, including journal postings, intercompany reconciliations, and assessments
* Review subsidiary financial reporting processes to ensure compliance with US GAAP and internal accounting policies
* Manage and maintain the integrity of the Financial setup in the IFS ERP System
* Prepare and/or review monthly account reconciliations
* Assist with technical accounting issues, such as gross profit and purchase price accounting
* Manage and assist with annual external audit processes
* Manage and assist with R&D Tax Credits, annual tax returns, and completion of annual Statutory Financial Statements
* Partner with peers on the team and cross-functionally with those in other areas, such as FP&A, HR, Treasury, Tax, Internal Leadership, and Business Group personnel
* Prepare ad-hoc analyses and reporting as requested
* Manage and assist with coordination of Payroll processes
* Manage and assist with coordination of Accounts Receivable collection processes
* Manage and assist with coordination of Accounts Payable payment processes
* Manage and assist with special projects as required
* Ensure appropriate staff are trained and cross-trained on all relevant activities
* Manage all relevant accounting processes and systems and ensure all processes are properly documented
* Supervise a team of accounting staff positions
Requirements:
* Professional Accounting Qualification (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)
* Minimum 2-5 years related post-qualified experience
* Prior supervisory experience or project management experience a plus
* Strong technical accounting skills
