Programme Assistant - Camphill Community Dunshane
Camphill Community is currently seeking applications from highly motivated individuals to join our team for the position of Programme Assistant.
Job Purpose
To support the service (residential community and day service) in developing and fostering a person-centered culture, aiming to achieve high-quality personal outcomes, development, growth, and opportunities within the ethos of CCoI and regulatory requirements.
Assist in inclusive programmes, training, and social role opportunities for participants by supporting people with support needs, volunteers, employees, and community partners. Enable meaningful work, training, and personal development opportunities tailored to individual abilities, choices, and vocational interests.
Key Responsibilities
The Programme Assistant will:
Management:
* Uphold the values and ethos of Camphill Communities of Ireland.
* Ensure compliance with safeguarding, protection standards, and all legal and statutory requirements.
* Promote safety and wellbeing, respecting individuals' independence.
* Contribute to the community’s policies, systems, and strategic vision.
* Build trust and confidence with adults with support needs, staff, volunteers, and partners.
* Maintain knowledge of the mission, values, and purpose of Camphill.
* Follow policies and procedures, including HIQA and other standards.
* Engage in professional development and participate in inspections and audits.
Main Tasks:
* Assist in planning activities tailored to individuals’ needs and abilities.
* Create a positive environment that promotes independence and progress.
* Support individuals in their work and oversee tasks as appropriate.
* Participate in reviews and support meetings.
* Report any concerning behaviour to management.
* Attend meetings and work under supervision, following standard practices.
* Manage holiday planning to ensure smooth programme operation.
* Maintain health and safety standards, including risk assessments and equipment safety.
* Ensure the environment is clean, tidy, and well-maintained.
* Organise and supervise breaks and ensure documentation is complete.
Qualifications, Knowledge & Experience
* QQI Level 5 Major Award in Community/Healthcare (8 modules completed).
* At least 1 year’s experience working with adults with intellectual disabilities/autism.
* Experience in running programmes for this demographic.
* Understanding of the HSE’s New Directions model of day support services.
* Full driver’s license with the ability to drive vehicles up to 8 passenger seats and 3,500kg.

Role Details
* Salary: €30,272 - €36,026 (pro-rata for part-time).
* Location: Dunshane Camphill Community, Naas, Co. Kildare.
* Contract: Fixed-term, 40 hours/week.
