Programme Assistants
Camphill Community is currently seeking applications from highly motivated individuals to join our team as Programme Assistants.
Job Purpose
To support the service (residential community and day service) in developing a person-centered culture, aiming to achieve high-quality personal outcomes, development, growth, and opportunities within the ethos of CCoI, adhering to regulatory and contractual requirements.
Assist in inclusive programmes, training, and social role opportunities for participants by supporting people with support needs, volunteers, employees, and community partners. Enable meaningful work, training, and personal development opportunities tailored to individual abilities, choices, and vocational interests.
Key Responsibilities
Management
* Uphold the values and ethos of Camphill Communities of Ireland and behave in a manner that reflects these values.
* Comply with safeguarding and protection practices for vulnerable adults and children, as appropriate.
* Promote safety and wellbeing, respecting individuals' rights to independent decision-making.
* Contribute to policies, systems, and practices that ensure high standards of care and support, complying with legislation and best practices.
* Participate in the development and strategic planning of the community and its activities.
* Build and maintain trusting relationships with adults with support needs, coworkers, employees, and volunteers.
* Understand and promote the mission, values, and purpose of Camphill Communities of Ireland.
* Adhere to organizational policies, procedures, and standards, including HIQA and HSE requirements.
* Engage in personal and professional development to meet evolving role requirements.
Main Tasks
* Assist in planning activities tailored to individuals' needs, providing guidance, motivation, and support.
* Create a positive environment that fosters group cohesion and individual benefit.
* Support individuals in their work, encouraging independence and progression.
* Participate in reviews and support meetings with coordinators and support staff.
* Report any concerning behavior to management.
* Attend meetings and work under standardized practices, providing advice and reports.
* Negotiate holidays to ensure smooth program operation.
* Maintain health and safety standards, including risk assessments and equipment safety.
* Ensure the workspace is clean, organized, and well-maintained.
* Organize and supervise breaks and ensure all necessary documentation is complete.
Qualifications, Knowledge & Experience
* QQI Level 5 Major Award in Community/Healthcare (8 modules completed).
* At least 1 year of experience working with adults with intellectual disabilities/autism.
* Experience in running programmes for this demographic.
* Understanding of the HSE's New Directions model of day support services.
* Ability to support, coach, manage, motivate, and develop a diverse workforce.
* Full driver's license, willing and able to drive vehicles up to 8 passenger seats and 3,500kg.

Role Details
Salary: €30,272 - €36,026 per annum (based on a 40-hour week), pro-rata for 35 hours.
Location: Dingle, Co Kerry.
Contract: Permanent, 35 hours/week.
