Governance and Compliance Officer role at National Adult Literacy Agency (NALA).
The National Adult Literacy Agency (NALA) is recruiting a Governance and Compliance Officer to help us achieve our vision. Our vision is an Ireland where adult literacy is a human right; everyone can develop their literacy, numeracy and digital skills; and everyone can take part fully in society.
Responsibilities
support the Chief Executive Officer and Finance and Corporate Services Manager to ensure the organisation’s governance, compliance and risk management systems are effectively implemented and maintained
manage the scheduling, communication, and documentation for NALA’s Board, subcommittees and Annual General Meeting
oversee compliance with all legislative and regulatory requirements, including data protection, health and safety, and employment law
maintain and update NALA’s corporate policy framework and registers, supporting continuous improvement and adherence to best practice; and
contribute to the development of strong governance structures in a national charity dedicated to advancing adult literacy, numeracy, and digital skills across Ireland.
Other duties as may be assigned by the Finance and Corporate Services Manager and the Chief Executive Officer.
