Description of employment: Job Title Business Development Specialist Manager Retail. Responsibilities include business development and data analysis activities; specialist business and market analysis; advising and making recommendations to the company related to business development and innovation based on research findings; advising on business process improvements and implementation of retail technology solutions to enhance performance and profitability; developing and managing measurable business development project strategies; planning and executing integrated business innovation campaigns and strategies; preparing high-level business development and innovation analysis reports; acting as company brand strategist; providing specialist advice to senior management to enhance strategies; attending and participating in relevant trade shows, workshops and conferences; assessing business functions, objectives and requirements; advising on process improvements related to business development; preparing detailed business reports based on data analytics; setting, monitoring and achieving sales targets with the team on gross profit margin, net margin, waste and other KPIs as agreed with Store Owner; implementing planograms and ensuring correct product range in-store; driving sales, service, productivity and maintaining high standards in business performance; achieving development targets with management to maximise sales while controlling direct and labour costs; appointing staff, assigning tasks and monitoring performance; liaising with staff about merchandise and promotions; ensuring adequate stock and efficient stockkeeping; handling customer complaints and queries; overseeing financial records and security; authorising payments for supplies and deciding on pricing terms; examining merchandise quality and use of advertising/display facilities; managing IT functions. Minimum annual remuneration: €34,000 per year. Location and hours: 39 hours per week.
