Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled technician to support our production operations.
This role offers excellent hands-on experience in injection and silicone moulding, as well as automated assembly.
The successful candidate will be a newly qualified engineer or a time-served electrician/fitter who is eager to develop their skills in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
* Assist the Shift Supervisor in maintaining efficient production operations.
* Set up and change moulds, carry out basic machine maintenance, and resolve breakdowns quickly.
* Optimise processes to improve machine performance, minimise downtime, and reduce rejects.
* Ensure raw materials are available to meet shift requirements.
Quality & Safety:
* Maintain product quality in line with specifications and company standards.
* Promote a safe working environment by following all health, safety, cleanroom, and hygiene procedures.
* Ensure machinery, moulds, and materials are always in safe working order.
Leadership & Team Support:
* Provide clear communication and guidance to production operatives.
* Step in to manage and supervise the shift team in the Supervisor's absence.
* Support employee training and ensure training records are maintained and updated.
Continuous Improvement:
* Contribute to performance improvements across output, quality, safety, cost, and people management.
* Monitor and review production results, identifying areas for efficiency and quality gains.
* Support compliance with company policies, procedures, and standards.
* Escalate issues and concerns promptly to management.
Candidate Profile:
* Recently qualified engineer or time-served electrician/fitter.
* Hands-on, practical approach with strong troubleshooting skills.
* Interest or experience in injection moulding, silicone moulding, or automated assembly (desirable).
* Ability to prioritise tasks and remain calm under pressure.
* Strong communication and teamwork skills.
