Our client, a leading timber processor in Ireland and the UK, is looking to add a Maintenance & Purchasing Coordinator to their team. This is afull-time, permanentposition and will be based fully onsite inFermoy, Cork. The Maintenance Stores & Purchasing Coordinator will report to the Maintenance Manager and will support the team of fitters and the wider company with purchasing.
Responsibilities:
* Procure mechanical, electrical, and consumable goods.
* Build and maintain effective relationships with suppliers.
* Negotiate on prices and manage ordering and timely delivery of stock.
* Create and process purchase orders on the PEMAC system.
* Liaise with maintenance and production teams in ordering of goods.
* Monitor delivery of goods, ensuring documentation is checked against original order placed and any discrepancies are actioned.
* Maintain effective administration of the system for storing and accessing information of inventory.
* Carry out general stores upkeep and perform stock checks via the PEMAC system.
* Comply with Health & Safety regulations.
Requirements:
* Excellent communicator with the ability to communicate effectively with all plant staff, senior management and suppliers.
* Previous experience in a purchasing/procurement role.
* Background in maintenance or production is desirable.
* Proficient in MS Office, including Excel.
* High level of problem-solving skills and technical awareness.
* Self-motivated and excellent organizational skills.
