We are hiring a Basic Grade Cardiac Physiologist to a Hospital in Ireland.
Responsibilities Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of cardiac diagnostic and interventional procedures, equipment, and techniques used in contemporary clinical practice.
Perform non-invasive cardiac investigations including ECGs, Holter and event monitoring, ambulatory BP monitoring, stress testing, tilt table testing, pacemaker/ICD follow-up and programming, and echocardiography in line with hospital policies.
Assist with and perform invasive cardiac procedures such as angiography, angioplasty, right heart catheterisation, pacemaker and ICD implants, IVUS, and FFR/iFR as appropriate to grade.
Accurately interpret data, perform precise measurements, and ensure timely delivery and reporting of all patient investigations.
Communicate effectively with consultants, GPs, multidisciplinary teams, and hospital staff to support high-quality patient care.
Maintain accurate clinical documentation, departmental records, and uphold patient confidentiality at all times.
Ensure safe practice through equipment maintenance, infection control standards, electrical safety awareness, and prompt reporting of faults, incidents, or accidents.
Contribute to department operations including policy and procedure development, quality improvement initiatives, audits, and accreditation processes.
Maintain professional competence through continuous education, mandatory training, study days, and keeping up to date with advances in cardiology.
