The successful candidate should have managerial experience within the high-volume convenience retail industry, preferably in a forecourt environment. This is an excellent opportunity for career progression.
Responsibilities of the Store Manager:
* Drive sales, service, productivity, and maintain excellent standards throughout the store.
* Manage all aspects of the day-to-day business operations of the service station, ensuring the team is motivated, objectives are achieved, and standards are high.
* Grow existing business and initiate improvements, ensuring sales, margin, and other assigned targets are achieved.
* Ensure the store's management team is trained to the highest standard.
* Handle staffing issues including onboarding, termination processes, recruitment, selection, conducting appraisals, and performance reviews.
* Ensure merchandising and presentation of the store is always of the highest standard.
* Ensure compliance with Health & Safety, HACCP, and other legal requirements within the store.
* Demonstrate accuracy and punctuality with all reporting.
* Practice excellent stock control and management processes.
Skills and Experience Required:
* Proven ability in managing retail sales teams (Ideally Forecourt).
* Strong planning and organizing capabilities.
* Excellent operational knowledge of the retail environment.
* Outstanding interpersonal relations.
* Strong understanding of consumer needs and commitment to store standards.
* Proven track record in achieving agreed KPIs and targets.
* Self-motivated with excellent team motivation skills.
* Ability to work in a pressurized environment.
