Lead Application Analyst / Business Analyst / IT Project Manager
18 month fixed‑term contract, Salary: 50‑53,750 per annum, Job location: Carlow. Hybrid: 2 days work from home.
Employing a Stamp 4 or Stamp 1G Spousal/Dependent visa. PRINCE2 or business analysis certification is a plus.
Job Role
Lead Applications Analyst for the ICT system redevelopment project. Responsibilities include:
Lead requirements definition, analysis and translation into functional and technical specification.
Oversee the delivery of an upgrade to the existing application, including SQL Server upgrades, a new data collection application and reporting changes.
Coordinate vendor activities, manage project risks and ensure adherence to ICT standards.
Support data migration, security testing, user acceptance testing (UAT) and training.
Ensure successful deployment and adoption of the new system across operations.
This is a key technical and project management role responsible for ensuring that the modernised system is delivered on time, within budget and in compliance.
Knowledge / Skills
Minimum of two years' experience in Business Systems Implementation with a proven track record from project initiation through implementation and support.
Experience in one of the following areas:
Business Analysis
Applications Development
IT Project Management
Applications Testing
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
SQL Server experience/knowledge
Good knowledge and understanding of Excel including macros
Experience with Power BI or similar reporting tools
Experience implementing web applications in a Windows server environment
Experience working with Microsoft SharePoint
Procurement and Vendor Management skills / Public sector procurement experience
Experience working in an agile development environment
Experience working with Microsoft 365 / Microsoft Dynamics
Experience working with enterprise systems such as CRM/Finance
