Furthr (www.furthr.ie) empowers entrepreneurs to start and scale new businesses through range of tailored 'Acceleration' supports. Furthr is a European Business Innovation Centre (www.ebn.eu). Every year Furthr's Acceleration team supports over 300 new business through the provision of individual mentorship and delivery of accelerator programmes and masterclasses. Furthr VC plays an active role in investing. Since 1988 Furthr have helped Ireland's innovative start-up founders to raise a total of €500+ million. Over 80% of Furthr-assisted companies have secured third-party finance, and more than 500 companies have raised funding through Furthr-managed programmes. About the Role

Furthr is growing and is expanding it Acceleration team to further support the design, development and delivery of programmes for its client base. The ideal candidate will bring deep knowledge of Design Thinking, Lean Startup, and the Value Proposition Canvas, combined with excellent facilitation skills to engage and inspire diverse groups of entrepreneurs. You will be confident in challenging participants\' thinking in a constructive way, adaptable across a range of programmes, and well-connected within the startup ecosystem. This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact by equipping founders with the tools, mindset, and confidence to succeed.


Role Responsibilities

* Facilitate learning and application of core startup methodologies, including Design Thinking, Lean Startup, and the Value Proposition Canvas, ensuring participants gain practical, actionable skills.
* Engage and inspire participants by leading interactive workshops, fostering open dialogue, and creating an inclusive environment where all voices are heard.
* Challenge and develop participant thinking by providing constructive, diplomatic feedback that encourages innovative solutions and critical problem-solving.
* Deliver consistently across programmes, adapting delivery style and content to meet the needs of diverse audiences ranging from early-stage founders to scaling entrepreneurs.
* Contribute subject matter expertise as both a specialist and generalist, drawing on broad entrepreneurial knowledge and experience to support participants' varied challenges.
* Leverage strong ecosystem knowledge and networks to provide participants with insights, connections, and access to wider supports within the startup and innovation community.
* Continuously evaluate and refine delivery, incorporating participant feedback and emerging best practices to ensure the highest quality learning experience.


Person Specification

Essential Skills & Experience:

* Proven experience delivering training, workshops, or mentoring in entrepreneurship, innovation, or startup development.
* In-depth knowledge of Design Thinking, Lean Startup, and the Value Proposition Canvas with the ability to translate theory into practice.
* Strong facilitation and communication skills, with the ability to hold a room, engage diverse groups, and actively listen.
* Demonstrated ability to challenge thinking constructively and diplomatically to drive stronger outcomes.
* Strong connections within the startup and innovation ecosystem, with awareness of current trends, supports, and opportunities.
* Previous experience working with early-stage founders, accelerators, or entrepreneurial education programmes.

Desirable

* International perspective on startup ecosystems and innovation.
* Experience working with technology startups and lifescience startups an advantage.

Education:

* Bachelor's degree in a related discipline or relevant experience supplemented with equivalent qualification
* Coaching or mentoring qualifications (formal or informal).
* Master's/Post grad qualification/MBA degree a plus
