We require an experienced Activities Assistant in our Clonakilty Nursing Home. We provide the highest standards of home care possible and are looking for someone who can contribute to our high-end service, delivering the best quality of activities for our residents to enjoy and feel comfortable in our home.
Job Summary
Plan and deliver activities to suit the needs of the residents.
Key Responsibilities:
* Supporting the nursing staff in providing high-quality holistic care
* Ensuring the activity calendar is planned in advance
* Executing the activity plan efficiently
* Providing a broad range of activities to cater for all needs, including both group and individual activities
* Collaborating with residents, staff, and families in activity planning
* Reporting changes in residents' conditions to trained nursing staff
* Assisting residents in participating in activities, employing manual handling best practices, and taking direction from nursing staff
* Maintaining health and safety awareness
* Communicating effectively with staff, managers, residents, and families
