Are you passionate about sustainability and ready to make a real impact on the future of renewable energy in Ireland? We’re looking for a Project Manager (Environmental) to join a dynamic and forward-thinking team dedicated to delivering cutting-edge renewable energy infrastructure.
In this key role, you’ll be instrumental in managing planning applications and environmental assessments across a range of both Strategic Infrastructure Development (SID) and non-SID renewable energy projects. You’ll work closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure all planning activity is delivered on time, within scope, and in full compliance with regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
* Support Senior Project Managers in the planning and design stages of renewable energy projects, from feasibility through to consent.
* Coordinate the preparation of planning and environmental reports, including EIA and AA Screening, Environmental Impact Assessment Reports (EIAR), and Natura Impact Statements (NIS).
* Oversee baseline environmental and constraints assessments, ensuring timely input from project stakeholders.
* Keep the wider team up to date on evolving planning and environmental legislation and relevant updates to national and local policy.
* Assist with stakeholder and community engagement strategies, including public consultations and events.
* Ensure full compliance with health, safety, and environmental protocols throughout all project phases.
* Contribute to the performance management process, supporting continuous improvement and collaboration across teams.
What We’re Looking For:
* Degree (Level 8) in Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
* Level 9 post-graduate qualification in planning, environmental law, or related discipline (desirable).
* 3+ years’ experience in planning and environmental assessments, ideally for renewable energy or infrastructure projects.
* Proven experience in preparing and coordinating EIARs and AAs.
* Strong understanding of Irish planning legislation and environmental compliance standards.
* Comfortable working with cross-functional teams and managing multiple priorities.
* Excellent project coordination and stakeholder communication skills.
* Technical expertise in a relevant EIA field (e.g., ecology, noise, air quality) is a distinct advantage.
