Operational Excellence Manager
Our Client a world leader in the labelling & packaging Industry Sector are looking to attract an experienced
Operational Excellence Manager
to lead and drive continuous improvement initiatives across our two Irish sites, located in
Castlebar
and
Drogheda
. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying and executing strategies that enhance operational efficiency, reduce costs, and foster a culture of innovation and excellence.
Working cross-functionally and reporting to the Operations Lead for Ireland, this role will champion the application of Lean, Six Sigma, and other continuous improvement methodologies to optimize processes and deliver measurable improvements in Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost.
Key Responsibilities:
* Process Improvement:
Identify and implement opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance quality across operations.
* Methodology Application:
Apply Lean, Six Sigma, and other CI tools to drive sustained improvements.
* Data Analysis:
Analyze performance data to identify root causes, trends, and areas for improvement.
* Stakeholder Engagement:
Partner with cross-functional teams and leadership to ensure effective implementation of improvement initiatives.
* Training and Development:
Deliver training on continuous improvement methodologies and support teams in process adoption.
* Performance Monitoring:
Track progress and impact of initiatives; adjust strategies based on feedback and performance data.
* Change Management:
Lead and support change management efforts to embed new processes and systems effectively.
* Hoshin/Strategy Deployment:
Facilitate strategy deployment by translating organizational goals into actionable site-level projects; coach and support leaders in cascading objectives and aligning initiatives.
* Program Management:
Maintain oversight of CI programs, ensuring effective project tracking, documentation, and reporting.
Key Requirements
* Bachelors or Masters Degree in Engineering, Operations Management or a related field with a number of years experience in a similar role.
* Deep understanding of Lean, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement methodologies.
* Hands on experience with PDCA, DMAIC problem solving, project management and leading Kaizen or similar improvement events
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder engagement capabilities.
* Proven ability to influence behaviors and culture through structured and systematic approaches.
* Effective project and change management experience.
* Candidates can be based either in the West or East of the Country as the role is split between operations in Mayo and Drogheda.
