Workshop Service Manager Role
This is a key leadership position responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our mechanical body workshop. The successful candidate will lead a skilled team of 7, ensuring high performance, customer satisfaction, and alignment with company goals.
Main Responsibilities:
* Manage the efficient day-to-day operations of the workshop.
* Oversee workflow, work in progress, and ensure targets are achieved.
* Collaborate with senior management and Sales & Aftersales teams to meet company objectives.
* Monitor and report on technician productivity and efficiency.
* Provide technical support and cost estimates to customers, ensuring a high standard of service.
* Keep staff up to date on technical and product knowledge.
* Support implementation and management of the workshop training plan.
* Ensure adherence to all company policies, procedures, and health & safety standards.
Requirements:
* Minimum 2 years' experience managing a busy service department.
* Strong background in mechanical services and/or workshop control.
* Proven track record of meeting or exceeding performance targets.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Strong focus on customer care and retention.
* Ability to work independently while contributing to team success.
* Computer literate with excellent organisational skills.
* Highly motivated, results-oriented, and committed to high standards.
