Our client, a manufacturer of precision stainless steel products based in County Mayo, is currently seeking a Skilled Stainless Steel Polisher to join their fabrication team. Serving the pharmaceutical, medical device, and food industries, our client is renowned for producing high-quality, hygienic-grade stainless steel components. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced polisher with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to quality craftsmanship.Responsibilities include but are not limited to :Polish and finish stainless steel components to the required surface finish (e.g., satin, mirror, or hygienic-grade finishes).Remove weld discoloration, spatter, scratches, and surface imperfections using the correct methods and tools.Perform surface preparation including grinding, sanding, and buffing to achieve a uniform, high-quality finish.Use hand and power tools such as angle grinders, die grinders, sanding discs, and polishing mops to carry out finishing tasks.Inspect finished products to ensure they meet specified aesthetic and hygienic standards.Work on a wide range of items including fabricated assemblies, stainless steel pipework, enclosures, and sheet metal products.Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all health and safety procedures.Take pride in craftsmanship, ensuring attention to detail and consistency across all work.Proven experience polishing and finishing stainless steel products, ideally within a fabrication, production, or manufacturing environment.Skilled in the use of polishing and finishing tools, including: Angle grinders ; Die grinders ; Sanding discs and flap wheels ; Scotch-Brite wheels and pads ; Polishing mops, compounds, and fine hand toolsGood understanding of surface finishes, including brushed, satin, mirror polish, and the importance of grain direction.Ability to identify and correct surface defects or inconsistencies before final finishing.Strong hand-eye coordination, manual dexterity, and attention to fine detail.Ability to work independently or as part of a fabrication team.Experience working in environments requiring high standards of finish such as food-grade, pharmaceutical, architectural, or decorative stainless steel sectors.If you take pride in your craftsmanship and want to work in a clean, high-quality manufacturing environment supporting the pharmaceutical and medical industries, we would love to hear from you!Note: By applying for this position, you may also be considered by Pale Blue Dot Recruitment for other or future related vacancies -Pale Blue Dot® Recruitment, The Resource for the MedTech Workforce-
