Job Overview
C & D Foods have an exciting opportunity for an IT Manager to join our flagship production facility in Edgeworthstown, Co. Longford. Reporting to the Site's Financial Controller, the IT Manager will be responsible for information technology at our flagship production facility in Ireland, ensuring uninterrupted operations and driving innovation to improve productivity.
Key Responsibilities
IT Infrastructure Management: Ensure the infrastructure supports the site, is maintained, secure, backed up, and resilient. Identify opportunities for optimization, enhancement, and future readiness. Support the team to deliver high‑value support and service.
Technical Support: Provide timely support for critical IT issues, especially those impacting production. Collaborate with internal IT teams, vendors, and service providers to secure optimal solutions. Manage 24/7 support and measure performance against SLAs.
Security and Compliance: Implement and maintain cybersecurity measures to protect production data and systems. Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations. Conduct regular security audits and risk assessments.
Project Management: Lead IT projects such as system upgrades, software implementations, and new technology integrations. Partner with site functions to identify needs and recommend solutions, prioritising with senior management. Manage budgets, timelines, and resources.
Cross‑Functional Collaboration: Align IT systems with the Divisional IT Strategy and business goals. Support process automation initiatives and digital transformation projects. Facilitate training for colleagues on new IT systems and processes.

Experienced in managing IT in a high‑demand, fast‑paced production environment.
Professional and approachable demeanour, able to explain technical concepts in non‑technical language.
Systematic troubleshooting and diagnostic skills to find effective solutions.
Strong understanding of industry standards and adaptability to emerging technologies.

Desired Knowledge & Experience
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field, or proven track record of industry‑certified continuous professional development.
5+ years of IT management experience, preferably in a manufacturing or production environment.
Strong knowledge of network management, server infrastructure, and production IT systems.
Familiarity with ERP, MES, or other industrial software systems.
Experience in providing out‑of‑hours support as required.
