The Area Sales Manager develops sales concepts by identifying potential products, conducting market research, generating product requirements, and determining specifications. Additionally, he/she helps build the pricing strategy and sets time-integrated plans for product introduction. Working closely with sales management teams, he/she also develops distribution channels and ensures commercial co-existence with clients. Most of the time will be spent in the field.
The position is responsible for builder’s merchants and retail key accounts, reporting to the Head of Retail.
1. Plan quarterly sales schedules with key accounts and coordinate promotional activities.
2. Recommend the nature and scope of current and future product lines by reviewing specifications and requirements, and appraising packaging changes.
3. Assess market competition by comparing the company's products to competitors'.
4. Introduce and market new products by developing time-integrated plans with sales and marketing teams.
5. Complete market operational requirements by scheduling technical training for employees and third-party salespeople on new products; follow up on work results.
6. Contribute to team efforts by accomplishing related results as needed.
7. Prospect, initiate, and follow up on new sales projects in a structured manner.
Profile
* Experience in Sales and Business Development, preferably in building-related materials.
* Strong analytical thinking skills to approach problems logically and provide effective solutions under pressure.
* Ability to build and maintain professional relationships.
* Excellent communication and persuasion skills to convey ideas and influence others.
* Resilience, a strong work ethic, perseverance, dynamism, a 'hands-on' mentality, and a strong sense of responsibility.
* Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint for sales and business activities.
