Job Opportunity:
This role encompasses a multifaceted maintenance engineer position, involving work with diverse plant and equipment types. The required mechanical bias is complemented by beneficial experience in electrical and CNC systems.
* Carry out repairs to all plant and equipment in a safe, timely, and professional manner.
* Assist in the development of planned preventative maintenance schedules (PPM) and carry out PPM schedules as necessary.
* Supervise and assist visiting specialist engineers and inspectors when needed.
* Report breakdown root cause, equipment faults, and concerns to management.
* Plan and prioritize workload to support production and ensure efficient use of working time.
* Assist with moving, installing, repositioning machines and equipment.
* Support design and manufacture of bespoke machinery/production lines.
* Experience as a qualified maintenance/service engineer operating in an industrial environment.
* Time-served within a relevant engineering discipline.
* Experience with fault-finding and maintenance of factory plant/equipment, lathes, mills, and drills.
* Experience with checking and tightening chain tensions, slides, and bearings.
* Desirable experience with complex multi-axis pallet turning, milling, drilling punch CNC machines and control systems.
* Desirable experience with fault-finding and rectification on relay logic and PLC control systems.
