Audit Associate Director – Asset Management
Main Responsibilities

Take overall responsibility for a significant portfolio of clients, ensuring the delivery of multi‑disciplinary services in line with engagement objectives, scope, risk, and commercial targets, while acting as a senior trusted advisor to key stakeholders.
Provide strategic oversight and direction across multiple concurrent audit engagements, ensuring timely delivery, technical excellence, and adherence to regulatory and firm standards, while leading and coordinating senior engagement teams to drive accountability and performance.
Lead, coach, and develop Managers and wider team members, fostering a high‑performance and collaborative culture, and overseeing resource planning, succession planning, and team capability development aligned to business needs.
Act as a subject matter expert in financial services, providing guidance on complex accounting and auditing matters across IFRS, US GAAP, and FRS 102, and contributing to technical training, thought leadership, and the development of internal and external insights.
Oversee the financial performance of the portfolio, including work in progress, budgeting, billing, and cash collection, while driving efficiency, profitability, and strong risk management across engagements.
Lead and contribute to business development initiatives, including identifying opportunities, building a pipeline, and supporting the preparation and delivery of proposals and presentations, while expanding existing client relationships.
Proactively engage with client leadership to identify issues and deliver commercially focused, value‑added solutions, ensuring high levels of client satisfaction and long‑term retention.
Identify and drive cross‑selling opportunities across service lines, working closely with other business units to deliver integrated solutions to clients.
Lead by example in maintaining the highest standards of audit quality, independence, and risk management, ensuring compliance with internal policies, professional standards, and regulatory requirements.
Work collaboratively across the firm and contribute to the strategic direction and continued growth of the Asset Management practice.

Skills and Attributes

Minimum 7+ years experience
ACA/ACCA/CPA qualified
Extensive audit experience within financial services, particularly asset management (Funds, SPVs, Aviation Leasing, Structured Finance)
Proven track record of managing large client portfolios and leading complex engagements
Strong technical expertise in IFRS; working knowledge of US GAAP and FRS 102
Demonstrated leadership experience, including developing senior team members
Strong commercial acumen with experience in business development and client relationship management
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, including at executive level
Strategic thinker with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment
