We’re looking for an experienced EHS Manager to be responsible for providing a professional health and safety service to all levels of staff working within our clients organisation
Working Pattern:Monday to Friday, 8;30 to 17:00
Main duties and responsibilities
Manage ISO Certification and Audits
Organize Health and Safety Training and manage the on sites training matrix
Develop and work with the teams on monthly safety alert/toolbox talk topics as per current risks and trends.
Order and arrange PPE for high risk tasks
Participate in the audit processes and procedures, ensuring the business complies with all relevant statutory and best practice
Oversee and implement task specific safety documentation, ensuring risks and hazards are communicated to all relevant parties
Develop and train Employees on EHS Procedures
Carry out COSHH Assessments and chemical handling training within the Plant
Investigate and compile Accident/Incident/Near Miss Reports
Roll out the zero harm reporting program for each Plant and manage the data monthly
Develop procedures and SOPs for the on site teams working with the Client EHS Team.
Carrying out Site Audit Inspections
Support the Team developing High Risk Assessments and Method Statements across the Contract.
Support Waste Management in line with Vendors and Internal DGSA Supervisors
Support Waste Administrator on waste management and invoicing in line with the Commercial Team
Analyze the monthly EHS statistics for global board reports and looking for any current trends
Liaise with EHS regulators HSA, EPA, local councils etc.
Lead by example with PPE compliance across the Plants
Collaborate with site leadership to ensure alignment on priority EHS issues and plans to address same
Promote and support a culture of accountability and collaboration in relation to safety and environmental performance and expectations
Manage spend in line with budget and drives efficiencies and cost savings across EHS service and equipment providers.
Qualifications and Experience
Minimum degree or higher diploma in health and safety
Minimum 2.5 years’ experience in a customer service driven environment
Experience working with management systems i.e. ISO14001, ISO45001, ISO9001
Proven ability to work on own initiative, with problem solving skills and be innovative
Membership of IOSH (or working towards) or equivalent
Proficiency in Microsoft IT applications
Excellent communication skills
Good Organizational Skills, must be able to multitask
Full Clean Driving Licence
Access to own vehicle
Flexibility to travel as required
Experience in auditing HSEQ management systems
