The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills and a passion for patient care, working closely with Occupational Therapists to facilitate patient rehabilitation and recovery.
Key Responsibilities:- Assist Occupational Therapists in implementing treatment plans and interventions tailored to patient needs.
- Support patients in performing therapeutic exercises and activities to improve functional abilities.
- Monitor and document patient progress and report findings to the Occupational Therapist.
- Educate patients and families on exercises and activities to be continued at home.
- Maintain a clean and organized therapy environment, ensuring equipment is readily available and safe for use.
- Collaborate effectively with the healthcare team to deliver comprehensive care.
Skills Required:- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
- Strong observational and problem-solving skills to assist in patient assessments.
- Ability to follow directions and work under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist.
- Proficient in the use of therapy equipment and technology.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to hospital policies and procedures.
Qualifications:- Certification as an Occupational Therapist Assistant.
- Previous experience in a healthcare setting is preferred.
