We are currently seeking a highly motivated 2 x Adult Support Worker to join our team in Limerick Adult Services, West Limerick Hub, Rathkeale/Newcastlewest, Co Limerick.
Contract Type: Part Time Permanent Contract
Salary Scale: €32,639 - €39,499 pro rata per annum. Salary scales are subject to Long Service Increments (LSI).
Pay Increases: This pay scale may increase in 2025 in line with the WRC agreement for Section 39 organisations.
Annual Leave Entitlement: 30 days per annum pro rata
Overview of the Post
The Adult Support Worker will work as part of a team within the adult day service to facilitate service owners with their daily programmes. This includes supporting personal care needs, mobility, and enabling access to services in the community and via our virtual day service. The post holder will encourage and support opportunities to develop options for service users in areas such as training, employment and greater community inclusion.

The Successful Candidate Will Have
* QQI Level 5 in Care Skills (including a module on special needs) or an equivalent qualification
* Minimum of two years’ experience working with adults with disabilities
* Full clean driving licence with no restrictions and willingness to drive Enable Ireland vehicles
* Eligibility to work in the state
* Effective communication skills and good recording practices
* Knowledge of the social model of disability
* Good understanding of Adult Protection and Lone Working
* Experience of working with adults in a day service setting
* Experience of working in a community setting
* Knowledge of person-centred planning and the Key Worker system
* Knowledge of New Directions guidelines
