Buyer – Procurement & Supply Chain Specialist
We are currently recruiting an experienced Buyer to join our team in Mayo. This full‑time, permanent position offers a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in overseeing the full procurement cycle, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring cost‑effective and compliant purchasing across all projects.
Key Responsibilities
Manage procurement from tender budgeting to final site delivery
Negotiate pricing and build strong supplier relationships
Coordinate with Project Managers and Quantity Surveyors to align on budgets, cash flow, and contract terms
Ensure accurate purchasing administration, including purchase orders, goods receipting, and invoice matching
Conduct regular stock analysis and manage inventory control measures
Collaborate with accounts for credit control and financial forecasting
Oversee freight logistics, imports/exports, and supplier compliance
Maintain a Supplier Performance Metric and drive continuous improvement
Work with QA teams to resolve supplier-related quality issues
Requirements
3+ years of experience in supply chain or procurement roles
Strong analytical, financial, and negotiation skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office and ERP systems
Organised, detail‑oriented, and capable of multitasking across projectsStrong communication and supplier management abilities
