Team Lead Job Description
The primary goal of this role is to provide care and support through a person-centred approach, meeting the practical, physical and emotional needs of service users with an Intellectual Disability/ABI/Autism.
To assist persons with disabilities in residential, training and day service activities, achieving their highest level of functioning to maintain independence and/or improve skills that will make them more independent.
This Team Lead position is part of the on-floor duty team, responsible for coordinating shifts while on duty and supervising other staff under their direction. They will work collaboratively as part of a Multi-Disciplinary Team in service delivery to residents.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead a team of staff to ensure the provision of high-quality care and support services.
* Assist in the coordination of shifts and supervise other staff members.
* Work collaboratively with the Multi-Disciplinary Team to achieve service goals.
In the absence of the Person In-Charge, the Team Lead may be required to deputise and assume management responsibilities.
Requirements:
* A qualification at Level 5 on the National Framework of Qualifications in Social Care, Social Work, Youth Work, Teaching, Nursing, Childcare with Disability modules (or other relevant discipline/qualification).
* Three years of experience working in a residential, respite or day service setting with people with intellectual disabilities.
