Senior Speech and Language Therapist (Paediatrics) – Part Time, Permanent
2 days per week (0.4 WTE)
Horizons is seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic part time Senior Grade Speech & Language Therapist in paediatric services. The successful applicant will work within an interdisciplinary team and will work as a member of a Children's Disability Network Team.
Salary
The 9-point salary scale for the post as of 01/08/2025 (Pro rata for part time posts):
€63,912, €65,275, €66,681, €68,073, €69,467, €70,933, €72,478, €74,018, €75,254
New appointees to any grade start at the minimum point of the scale. Incremental credit will be applied for recognised relevant service in Ireland and abroad (Department of Health Circular 2/2011). Incremental credit is normally granted on appointment, in respect of previous experience in the Civil Service, Local Authorities, Health Service and other Public Service Bodies and Statutory Agencies.
Applicants must possess the following
* A BSc in Speech & Language Therapy or its' equivalent is required
* The successful applicant must be CORU registered
* Have 3 years post qualification experience
* Hold a full clean driving licence and have their own vehicle at the time of application
* Candidates must have the requisite knowledge and ability (including a high standard of suitability and professional ability) for the proper discharge of the duties of the office
* Experience supporting children with disabilities and their families is desirable but not essential

A panel may be formed for a 12-month period to fill future temporary or permanent part time Senior Speech and Language Therapist positions that may arise across all CDNTs managed by Horizons as Lead Agency. The Department of Health & Children Consolidated Scales apply.
