We are looking for a reliable and hardworking General Operative to join our team as a Truck Unloader. This position involves unloading goods and materials from trucks on-site in a safe and efficient manner. The successful candidate will work closely with the site team to ensure smooth and timely unloading operations, helping to maintain the workflow on-site and supporting the overall logistics operation. A Full Irish Drivers License is required for this role. Key Responsibilities: Safely unload trucks and deliveries of various goods and materials. Ensure that all items are checked off the delivery list and are in good condition. Organize and move materials to appropriate areas of the site for further processing or storage. Use manual handling techniques and equipment, including forklifts, pallet jacks, and trolleys, as needed. Follow all health and safety regulations and best practices to ensure a safe working environment. Assist with inventory control by counting and documenting goods received. Report any damaged, missing, or incorrect items to the supervisor or logistics manager. Maintain cleanliness and organization of unloading areas to ensure efficient operations. Assist with loading and unloading duties as required, depending on the needs of the site. Collaborate with other site teams to ensure smooth flow of materials and goods. Qualifications: Previous experience in a similar role (e.g., warehouse, construction site) is preferred but not essential. Ability to operate manual handling equipment and machinery (e.g., forklifts, pallet jacks) is advantageous. Strong physical fitness and ability to lift heavy objects and stand for long periods. Knowledge of health and safety regulations in a warehouse or site environment. Good communication skills and ability to work within a team. A proactive and flexible approach to work. Desirable Skills: Forklift License (if applicable). Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines. Working Conditions: Manual labor, including lifting and moving materials. Exposure to outdoor environments and varying weather conditions. PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) such as gloves, hard hats, safety boots, and high-visibility clothing must be worn. Some overtime may be required based on site needs. Hours - 7.30am to 4pm 5 days a week.
