Production Support EngineerOur Client requires a “hands on” Production Support Engineer to support a number of its existing manufacturing cells. The successful applicant will have a strong technical manufacturing background and minimum 3 years of experience in a medium/high volume mechanical/ manufacturing environment.The key outputs and deliverables of the role are as follows:Support manufacturing processes and provide process improvements to existing productsTo define and validate manufacturing process for upgrade products or new productsSupport mechanical/electrical assembly jigs, fixtures and purpose-built test equipmentProcess analysis and Product Quality reportingTo work closely with other Engineers and Production Staff to drive quality standards and improvementsTo work closely with Product Designers to ensure the product is designed for assemblyAll applicants must possess the following:Educated to at least degree level in Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineering or equivalentMinimum 3 years’ experience in a mid/high volume manufacturing environmentExperience in use of structured problem-solving techniquesGood “can do” attitude and ability to work well in a team‘Hands-on’ abilityAlthough not essential, it is desirable if applicants have the following:Experience with practical application of Six Sigma tools, including though not exclusive to using Statistical Process Control, Gauge Studies & Process CapabilityExperience in use of Excel and related business intelligence tools for data analysisExperience in practical application of Industry 4.0 real time data analytics, including though not exclusive to using Power BI, SQL and VBA/ExcelExperience in practical application of Lean ProjectsExperience in Design, Validation & Implementation of assembly fixturesExperience using and interpreting technical drawings including GD&T’sPerson specification:An enthusiastic ‘hands-on’ individual, with a strong mechanical background and good interpersonal/organisation skills is required to fill this role.Location:This role is based at their Swords plant.Skills:Production technologyEngineering supportToolingProblem AnalysisPre-productionEngineer CollaborationEngineeringBenefits:excellent benefits package
