Job Responsibilities
1. Prepare, maintain, and track records concerning inventories and work processes to calculate gross monthly profit according to company policy.
2. Develop and implement merchandising plans using guidelines and suggestions to meet the financial objectives of the department.
3. Control department costs by monitoring and improving operations to increase profitability.
4. Oversee and evaluate training provided by a trainer to department team members to reduce turnover, promote efficiency, and control labor costs.
5. Maintain a safe and clean environment to ensure health and OSHA requirements are met.
6. Develop and maintain communication with other departments to develop marketing plans that help meet the store's financial objectives.
7. Analyze the Customer Satisfaction Index and Team Member Point of View Survey to identify areas needing improvement and develop processes or procedures to address those issues.
8. Maintain accurate department records to ensure documentation of activities is available.
9. Ensure proper procedures are followed to meet out-of-stock percentage goals.
10. Promote the continuous development of team members and identify candidates for the Team Leader Development Program.
11. Understand and adhere to the Collective Bargaining Agreement.
12. Support a culture of safety, including food safety, team member safety, and customer safety.
13. Conduct business with a focus on customer service as a key differentiator, ensuring every interaction is conducted with integrity and the goal of delivering unparalleled service.
14. Participate in and promote an environment that embraces diversity, inclusion, and respect for team members, customers, vendors, and the community.
15. Manage inventories by tracking weekly reports and ordering raw materials and supplies to meet customer requirements and maximize profits.
16. Schedule team members and delegate work assignments according to the Collective Bargaining Agreement, effectively utilizing staff and supplies to maximize store profits.
