Following a landmark renovation, The Fork & Wheel in Midleton is seeking an accomplished and dynamic General Manager to lead our newly transformed restaurant. Role Overview

As General Manager, you will have full responsibility for all aspects of the restaurant’s operations, ensuring the highest standards of service, profitability, and customer satisfaction. You will lead, inspire, and develop your team, drive business growth, and act as the face of The Fork & Wheel within the local community.

Key Responsibilities


* Oversee and manage all areas of the restaurant’s daily operations, including both front and back of house, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration between teams.
* Lead, motivate, and develop the entire restaurant team, including recruitment, training, performance management, and fostering a positive working environment.
* Deliver exceptional guest experiences by upholding the highest standards of hospitality, service, and food quality.
* Develop and implement business strategies, set targets, and drive initiatives to increase revenue, profitability, and guest loyalty.
* Manage all financial aspects of the business, including budgeting, forecasting, cost control, payroll, and financial reporting to ensure targets are met and profitability is maximised.
* Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and hygiene regulations, maintaining a safe and clean environment for guests and staff.

Key Requirements

* Minimum 3+ years’ experience in a senior management role within the hospitality industry, ideally as a Restaurant General Manager or similar.
* Proven track record in leading high-performing teams within high-volume, fast-paced environments.
* Strong commercial acumen with experience managing budgets, financial targets, and cost controls.
* Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate others.
* In-depth knowledge of health and safety, food hygiene, and licensing regulations.
* A passion for delivering outstanding guest experiences and a hands-on approach to problem-solving.
