Production Manager (Polymer) - Longford
In partnership with our client, Glantech staffing are currently seeking applications for the position of Production Manager. This role is based in Co. Longford, and the ideal candidate will have experience of working with polymer products.
Skills and Experience:
1. At least 5 years’ experience in an Injection Molding Medical Device manufacturing facility and general manufacturing operations in a similar high-volume production role.
2. Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills. Ability to analyze performance data and present actionable insights. The ability to collaborate with all levels of the business.
3. A results-driven approach with a knack for problem-solving and continuous improvement. Strong understanding of lean manufacturing principles and techniques.
4. A BSc in Engineering or equivalent in a related technical discipline. A third-level qualification is desirable, but your experience and passion matter most. Working knowledge of IQMS would be an advantage.
Duties & Responsibilities:
1. IQMS experience is a distinct advantage, but not essential, as full training will be provided.
2. Adhere to and enforce all safety procedures/policies. Maintain a safe and clean environment.
3. Ensure customer requirements are met.
4. Review and approve labor management.
5. Understand all products and quality specifications of active products.
6. Establish and monitor plant performance by creating goals and reviewing tracking metrics.
7. Develop and communicate plans to reduce scrap.
8. Ensure duties are defined, communicated, and met by direct reports.
9. Review and approve all performance evaluations.
10. Review and investigate all accident reports.
11. Verify compliance with all PM Management activities through our Maximo system.
12. Track, monitor, and verify accuracy of RM, WIP, and FG inventories.
13. Ensure fair and consistent treatment of all employees by upholding policies and procedures.
14. Implement and uphold The Quality System ISO 13485, ensuring GMP compliance, product quality, and adherence to safety and regulatory standards ISO 14001.
15. Ability to drive technical and operational enhancements.
16. Managing the performance of our production facility, including resourcing, manpower, and efficiency.
17. Monitoring production data (e.g., downtime, waste, non-conformances) and implementing solutions.
18. Driving a culture of safety and innovation, ensuring our facility is audit-ready every day.
19. Liaising with cross-functional teams to maintain and improve customer satisfaction.
20. Drive Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other process improvement initiatives to enhance productivity.
21. Lead and performance manage your direct report(s). Proactively participate in the Performance Management process to ensure delivery of own and the wider team's objectives.
