Main Duties
Deliver and manage fire engineering projects.
Provide fire risk assessments for a wide range of structures and risk groups.
Present findings through reports and workshops.
Complete fee quotes, PQQ and ITT submissions for fire safety tenders.
Work individually and as part of a team to win or deliver projects.
Engage directly with clients in an outward-facing role.
Ensure projects are suitably invoiced.
Promote and maintain technical excellence.
Attend client meetings and provide fee proposals as required.
Provide technical guidance and advice to clients as appropriate.
Provide technical advice to employees and associates of the company.
Support ISO 9001.2015 readiness.
Key Skills and Requirements
MSc Fire Engineering or BEng/BSc degree.
AIFireE or FRM accreditation.
IEng application in process.
Typically 2+ years experience in a consultancy or similar environment.
Knowledge of UK fire safety legislation and standards.
Clear understanding of the total fire concept - from client brief through to construction and operation.
Development and implementation of fire strategies, projects and research initiatives.
Excellent report writing and communication skills.
Ability to multi-task across multiple projects simultaneously.
Proven ability to work remotely, both individually and as part of a team.
Proven ability to develop a network of clients and colleagues inside and outside PartB.
Understanding and management of scope and programme constraints of projects.
Excellent time-management skills.
Flexible and adaptable during company growth.
