Job Description:
The Building Management System (BMS) team is seeking an experienced professional to support the day-to-day operation of a campus, where the BMS is in use.
* Solve technical problems with Engineering and Operations personnel, making changes to control systems according to site change control procedures and standards.
* Respond to system events and perform routine computer system maintenance checks.
Key Responsibilities:
1. As the BMS Custodian, lead and oversee the work delivered by equipment vendors and trade partners.
2. Develop requirements for the system in line with industry standards.
3. Ensure software design, coding/configuration, and testing meet operational needs.
4. Review and approve functional requirements, network architectures, application software, panel design, graphics, and test specifications.
5. Support commissioning of changes to existing or new equipment.
6. Communicate effectively on system status and any related system performance to management.
7. Develop standard operating procedures, work instructions, and other job aids to ensure appropriate documentation for training, maintenance, and operation of automation systems.
8. Manage the system and related upgrade projects.
9. Promote the use of automation to improve productivity, operational efficiency, and compliance.
10. Adhere to safety procedures and develop automation solutions with these in mind.
11. Develop a network of corporate contacts and leverage expertise when needed.
