Job Title: Tote Operations Manager (Part-time 5 hours) Reports to: Head of Tote Location: Newbridge Greyhound Stadium The successful candidate, while on duty, will be in charge of Tote operations, promotion, administration and staff management to ensure the commercial success of the Tote at the venue.
Hours of Work Friday evenings - Starting.
Key Responsibilities and Duties: Effectively overseeing all aspects of customer frontline service for Tote Operations for at Newbridge Greyhound Stadium in order to focus on achieving business plans and targets.
Implement and adhere to all GRI Policies and Procedures.
Ensuring effectively dealing with all race night operational routines and issues such as; any cash shortage, lodgements, cashing up procedure, managers report, roistering, time and attendance and follow up where necessary on any issues relating to same.
Producing regular detailed Tote activity reports as required.
Liaising with the Racing & Hospitality Management and other staff as required.
Dealing with any elevated customer complaints regarding Tote matters and following up on same to ensure customer satisfaction.
Liaise with stadium management to ensure effective delivery of all tote related IT products / graphics / tote operated machinery / display boards / Inter Track audio etc.
Interact with all providers of these services to ensure effective delivery.
Ensure an effective delivery and promotion of the Tote from the stadium announcer during racing.
Ensure the successful introduction of any new Tote related projects, products and equipment.
Maintain written record of any Teller Cash Balances/shortages, together with written record of Teller explanation/ backup for Auditors both internal and external.
Comply with all RC procedures to include all statutory procedures - Fire Health and Safety, hygiene, internal audit.
To carry out any other reasonable task or duties as assigned by the Head of Tote or GRI management to meet with business needs.
Key Skills and Competencies: At least 6 months gained in a demanding role with excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Proficient in the Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel & Word.
Fluency in English is essential.
Good interpersonal and communication skills.
Has the ability to work towards tight deadlines whilst using their own initiative.
Ability to learn quickly and work as part of a team.
