About the role:
OLIVER is looking for a talented Senior Digital Designer with a passion for motion graphics and video to join our amazing team of creatives in the creation of on-brand, top-tier marketing materials for our major hospitality client.
As a Senior Digital Designer, you will have strong creative and technical skills in motion design and video production. You will be comfortable taking projects from brief to completion, providing new ideas and creativity while working closely with the client's brand guidelines. You'll also be comfortable pushing boundaries and thinking conceptually about new initiatives, with a focus on paid social and video.
Reporting to the Art Director, you will work closely as part of our team designing and producing a variety of materials. In the day to day, you'll be executing great work creating engaging motion graphics, animated paid social placements, videos, storyboards, banner ads, email marketing, and more with a deep understanding of visual development for campaigns and brands, particularly in the motion/video space. You'll be expected to bring a strong understanding of what resonates with audiences on various social platforms and to incorporate these insights into your creative work.

What you will be doing:
* Collaborating day to day with a team of art directors, designers, copywriters, and account managers to produce beautiful and innovative designs and motion-driven concepts for paid social, mobile, banners, video, print and beyond to define campaigns.
* Owning the full design and motion design lifecycle from concept to execution for new initiatives, as well as working within established brand templates for our business-as-usual work.
* Creating storyboards and motion prototypes to effectively communicate design concepts and animation ideas.
* Presenting your work (both internally and to clients) to articulate and advocate your design rationale.
* Effectively managing workloads within agreed timelines.
* Proactively monitoring artwork quality with a constant desire to improve and adapt to drive consistency across mediums.
* Overseeing and managing the preparation of all finished files that will comply with the correct output specifications.
* Working proactively under own initiative and as part of the design team.

What you need to be great in this role:
* 5+ years of work experience that demonstrates impeccable craft and command of creative concepts, visual concepts, and design across a variety of projects, with a significant portfolio showcasing motion graphics and video work.
* A strong interest and experience with various social media channels, including designing for and understanding paid and organic approaches.
* A passion for identifying and understanding emerging social media trends, platform updates, and viral content formats.
* The ability to translate social media trends into innovative and engaging creative concepts for our client's marketing campaigns.
* Hospitality experience preferred but not required.
* The ability to take projects from concept to completion, with a history of translating strategic thinking into compelling, visual ideas, particularly in the form of animated content.
* Be adaptable to priorities of business and produce great work in given timeframes.
* Able to gather feedback judiciously but know when to follow guidelines/vision.
* Understand how to work on a range of designs within brand guidelines while utilizing modern aesthetics.
* Deep knowledge and production experience with integrated and digital campaigns.
* Proven experience and mastery of motion graphics and video production. A strong foundation in animation principles and techniques is essential.
* Excellent Adobe Creative Suite including advanced level After Effects.
* Premier Pro is a plus but not required.
* Able to effectively understand and execute against specific brand guidelines.
* Persuasive communication and presentation skills with colleagues and clients.
