**Job Title:** Duty Manager
----------------------------------- **About the Role:The Harbour Hotel is currently looking for a skilled Duty Manager to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to work with our Management Team and contribute to the delivery of hotel revenue and profit growth.We are seeking a highly motivated individual who can maximise sales opportunities and ensure that all areas within the property are running smoothly.**Key Responsibilities:*** Ensure a thorough handover briefing at the beginning of each shift to stay informed about any events or special requirements.* Maintain a visible presence in the Front of House areas and serve as the primary point of contact for all customers.* Conduct regular checks on each department to ensure awareness of your role as Manager on Duty.* Manage staffing levels in all areas to ensure adequate coverage.* Provide exceptional service to VIP customers, ensuring their rooms meet their requirements.* Adhere to liquor licensing legislation and company policies.* Perform security and fire walks, maintaining relevant records.* Act as Fire Marshall while on duty, being thoroughly familiar with emergency procedures and alarms.* Complete checklists and reports before the end of each shift.* Ensure a smooth handover to the next Manager at the end of your shift.* Foster a positive working environment and promote good team relations.* Ensure fair and consistent treatment of all team members.* Stay up-to-date with Human Resources best practices and company procedures.* Update the General Manager and Human Resources Department on any issues arising.* Assist with staff training and development in consultation with the Management Team.* Maintain comprehensive training records.* Pursue opportunities for personal and professional development.**Required Skills and Qualifications:* Proven experience in hospitality management.* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.* Strong problem-solving and leadership abilities.* Ability to work effectively under pressure.* Familiarity with liquor licensing legislation and company policies.* Basic computer skills and knowledge of software applications.**Benefits:* Competitive salary and benefits package.* Opportunities for career advancement and professional development.* Collaborative and supportive work environment.* Recognition and rewards for outstanding performance.**How to Apply:**Send a copy of your CV alongside this application.
