Divisional Manager – Premium retail across home and electrical Excel Recruitment is partnering with a leading premium luxury department store group in their search for an experienced Retail Divisional Manager to lead their Home, Electrical and Technology departments in Dublin City.As a Divisional Manager, you will carry full accountability for P&L, team leadership, operational excellence, and growth across the home, gifting and electrical categories.
This role demands a strategic leader with deep retail retail leadership experience, strong people management skills, and a passion for innovation in customer experience.Key ResponsibilitiesLead and manage multiple departments across electrical / technology, home and gifting divisions, driving commercial performance and operational efficiency.
Own P&L, set divisional targets, track KPIs, and implement strategies to maximise sales, margin, and productivity.
Develop, coach, and mentor store managers, supervisors, and technical staff to strengthen capabilities and deliver consistent results.
Design and run succession planning, ensuring the division has a pipeline of future leaders to promote internally.
Ensure seamless integration of online and in-store electrical offerings, optimising the omnichannel customer journey.
Oversee merchandising, stock control, procurement, vendor relationships, and product mix for the division.
Champion change initiatives, new technology adoption, process improvements, and continuous innovation across the division.
Establish and enforce operational standards, compliance, loss prevention, customer service excellence, and visual presentation.Skills & Experience Required
Extensive experience in retail management, ideally within a high volume and customer focused retail environment
Proven track record of managing divisional P&L, driving margin and growth.
Strong people leadership, development, and change management skills.
Experience in succession planning and building talent pipelines.
Commercial acumen, with ability to analyse data, trading metrics, and make data-driven decisions.
Ability to innovate and adapt – comfortable leading change and driving new initiatives.
Excellent communication, influencing and stakeholder management skills.
