Prospero Teaching is working closely with a specialist SEN secondary school to recruit a passionate and committed SEN Teacher to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for a teacher who is motivated to support pupils with complex needs in a structured, supportive environment.
The Role:
Teaching and supporting secondary‑aged pupils with a range of special educational needs, including autism, learning difficulties, and additional needs
Planning, delivering, and adapting lessons to meet individual learning needs
Creating a safe, engaging, and inclusive classroom environment
Working closely with Teaching Assistants, therapists, and senior leaders
Monitoring pupil progress and contributing to EHCP targets
Supporting pupils’ academic, social, and emotional development
Managing behaviour using trauma‑informed and positive behaviour strategies
The Ideal Candidate:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
Experience teaching students with SEN (mainstream or specialist setting)
Strong classroom management and differentiation skills
Calm, patient, and resilient approach
A genuine passion for SEN education and inclusive practice
Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
Hold (or be willing to obtain) an Enhanced DBS on the child workforce
