Role Description
The Bookkeeper & Payroll Administrator (Part-Time) Wexford role is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records and administering payroll for the practice. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Wexford. Day-to-day tasks include recording transactions, posting journal entries, reconciling bank accounts, and assisting with the preparation of financial statements. The role will also manage payroll processing, maintain employee records, calculate statutory deductions, and ensure timely payments. Additional responsibilities may include monitoring accounts payable and receivable, liaising with external accountants, and supporting management with financial reports and compliance-related documentation.
Qualifications
Strong bookkeeping skills, including accurate recording of day-to-day transactions and maintenance of ledgers.
Ability to prepare and interpret financial statements and related financial reports.
Proficiency with accounting software and general finance processes, including basic budgeting and cash flow awareness.
Experience posting and reviewing journal entries (accounting) to ensure correct coding and reconciliation.
Previous experience in payroll administration, including statutory deductions and compliance, is highly desirable.
Strong attention to detail, numerical accuracy, and organizational skills.
Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and integrity.
Relevant qualification or certification in accounting, bookkeeping, or finance (or equivalent experience).
Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with legal and administrative team members.
