Offer Description
We invite applications for the position of Post-Doctoral Researcher or Senior Post-Doctoral Researcher to join our team within the Offshore Renewable Energy Research Group. This position is part of the IDEA-IRL project, contributing to the International Energy Agency task 49: IDEA, developing integrated designs for floating offshore wind arrays. The project focuses on designing farm scenarios and a Floating Offshore Wind development roadmap for Ireland. More information can be found at https://www.marei.ie/project/idea-irl-integrated-design-floating-wind/. The position may also involve work on the AtlanticFloat project, which aims to determine criteria for floating platforms to operate reliably with 90+% availability on Ireland's West Coast, details at https://www.marei.ie/project/atlanticfloat/.
Achievement of the expected progression within Post Doc and Senior Post Doc is transferable between Irish HEIs. This affects starting pay and eligibility; completion of PD1 or PD2 levels in one HEI typically renders a researcher ineligible for similar level positions in another Irish HEI. More info at the Irish Universities Association.
