The ability to drive and a willingness to travel locally when needed are essential.Key ResponsibilitiesEffective diagnosis & troubleshooting of server hardware, desktops, laptops, printers, Microsoft desktop applications and networkingInstallation and configuration of servers (physical and virtual), firewalls, desktops, laptops, and infrastructure hardwareMulti-tasking various user issues effectively and efficiently, while documenting troubleshooting and triage steps so other team members can follow if requiredInteraction with project teams to facilitate new systems and upgradesSupport pre-sales and Service Delivery ManagersWork on internal and customer projectsBe part of the on-call rota when requiredApply information security in accordance with the established team policies, procedures, and work instructionsAdhere to all applicable compliance framework disciplinesFoster strong working relationships with Calligo's customersProvide customers professional and timely feedback / informationClear, effective communication to customers and colleaguesOwnership and management of Service Tickets to which they have been assignedProvide reporting as required to line managerCreate and maintain documentationSupport and knowledge share with other members of the teamSkills, Knowledge and ExpertiseSkills & Experience3+ years technical experience gained in a support environment, ideally in an MSP (Managed Service Provider) or similarIndustry recognized professional technical qualifications and certificationsProven record of accomplishment in support methodologies, e.g. ITILSound problem analysis skills and an ability to manage and deliver under pressureIn-depth knowledge of the full Microsoft stack including Microsoft365Knowledge of supporting Remote / Virtual Desktop environments (desirable)Microsoft Active Directory, Group Policy & Exchange administrationWindows Server Admin from 2012 to latest Microsoft Server Operating SystemsKnowledge of networking and firewallsWorking knowledge of Azure, VMware ESXi & vSphere from 6.0 to current (desirable)Practical knowledge of Windows Server, Windows Client, Linux, and Active DirectoryPractical knowledge of VMware InfrastructureWorking knowledge of Microsoft ExchangeExperience designing, installing, configuring, and maintaining all types of servers, storage, and network hardwareExperience of IaaS & cloud environments and deploymentsCompetenciesLeadership skillsAbility to work productively both alone and within a teamAbility to work to deadlinesAbility to adapt, explore solutions and take ownership in order to resolve problemsBenefitsSponsored training and development for career growth25 Days annual leave, increasing with length of serviceContributory pensionHealthcare coverLife insuranceFlexible workingPaid time off for volunteering
