This is a chance to join a highly respected global organisation at the centre of its international payroll and accounting operations. Based within a shared services environment, this role supports payrolls across approximately 30+ countries spanning EMEA, LATAM, Asia-Pacific and Canada.

ABOUT THE ROLE:
Reporting to the Payroll Manager, you will be responsible for the administration, audit and accounting of international payroll processes across multiple jurisdictions. You'll play a key role in ensuring payroll accuracy, compliance and financial integrity while driving continuous improvement across systems, controls and ways of working.
* Partner with HR and external payroll providers to ensure payrolls are processed accurately, on time and in line with local country requirements
* Own month-end payroll accounting activities, including journal preparation, accruals and balance sheet reconciliations
* Act as the payroll lead for assigned countries, developing a deep understanding of local requirements and challenges
* Maintain strong payroll controls, ensuring month-on-month changes are captured, reconciled and clearly explained
* Schedule, lead and participate in payroll-related meetings and presentations with key stakeholders
* Deliver timely, accurate reporting to internal and external agencies
* Prepare employee payroll and tax payments and ensure ongoing compliance with local statutory requirements
* Ensure monthly and annual tax filings and regulatory obligations are met
* Create and maintain robust payroll documentation
* Drive efficiencies, standardisation and continuous process improvement initiatives
* Manage the Payroll ESC ticketing system, ensuring queries are resolved within agreed timelines
* Partner with internal and external audit teams to ensure payroll data integrity and compliance
* Support payroll and finance-related projects as required
ABOUT THE PERSON:
You are an experienced payroll and accounting professional with a strong background in shared services or multi-country environments. You bring a control-focused mindset, high attention to detail and the confidence to engage with a wide range of stakeholders.
* Proven experience operating and/or auditing payroll processes in a multinational or shared services environment
* Strong payroll accounting expertise, including reconciliations and controls
* Excellent working knowledge of SAP
* Advanced Excel skills
* A structured, organised approach with the ability to meet tight deadlines
* A customer-focused mindset with a commitment to service excellence
* Strong communication, relationship-building and negotiation skills
* The ability to analyse processes, identify improvements and implement practical solutions
* Accounting qualification preferred.
