We're partnering with a global, technology-driven organisation operating complex, large-scale platforms where security is embedded into engineering from day one. They're looking to add a Security Engineer to work closely with product, platform, and engineering teams to shape secure architectures and enable secure delivery at scale.
This is a hands-on role sitting between security and engineering - focused on design, enablement, and practical security rather than policy-heavy governance.
What you'll be doing
1. Partnering with engineering teams to embed security into platform and application design
2. Reviewing architecture and technical changes for security and regulatory alignment
3. Applying secure design principles across cloud, application, and platform services
4. Supporting threat modelling, risk assessments, and secure SDLC activities
5. Contributing to security standards, patterns, and technical guidance
6. Translating security requirements into actionable engineering solutions
What we're looking for
7. Strong experience in application, platform, or product security
8. Background working directly with software engineers and architects
9. Solid understanding of core security domains (encryption, identity, network security, logging)
10. Comfortable influencing technical decisions and design outcomes
11. Experience in regulated or high-assurance environments is a plus
12. Scripting or development experience is beneficial
