Project:
Our client is a well-funded AI startup in the higher education sector that has successfully raised a $7M seed round. The product is already in production with paying customers and is actively scaling.
The role combines hands-on full-stack development with leadership responsibilities, ownership of technical decisions, and close collaboration with product and engineering leaders.
Responsibilities:
— Full-stack development with strong emphasis on frontend + TypeScript);
— Ownership of new features end-to-end within a monorepo architecture;
— Leading a small engineering team: task delegation, code review, mentoring;
— Working closely with product managers and stakeholders across US and Israeli teams;
— Backend development using (TypeScript) with frameworks such as Express/Fastify/NestJS;
— Working with ORM tools: Drizzle (strong advantage), Prisma, or TypeORM;
— Maintaining and improving modern cloud infrastructure (GCP, Kubernetes, Terraform);
— Ensuring code quality, scalability, and clean architecture principles;
Requirements:
— 8+ years of software development experience;
— Strong expertise in React and (expert-level frontend skills required);
— Strong experience with and TypeScript;
— Experience with design systems (Shadcn required; MUI or similar acceptable);
— Experience with cloud environments (GCP preferred), Kubernetes, IaC;
— Experience working in a monorepo (pnpm strong advantage);
— Previous experience as a Team Lead / Tech Lead;
— English: B2+ (very fluent, proactive communication);
— Proactive, independent, and responsible approach to work;
— Experience working in fast-paced startup environments;
— Experience working in fast-paced startup environments;
