About the Role
We are currently seeking applications from individuals interested in joining our team within our Day Services.
The ideal candidate will support individuals to live their best lives by achieving daily goals and promoting independence and community integration. This is an enjoyable and rewarding role that encourages the people we support to participate in various activities (e.g., gardening, arts/crafts, and more) on-site at the day service and to join activities and day trips in the community.
Work Schedule: Monday to Friday
Hours of Work: Varies between 8:30 am - 5:00 pm / 39 hours per week
Location: Ranesboro/Collooney, Sligo
Person Specification:
* Qualification in a relevant discipline (e.g., social care, health, community care sector) at level 7 minimum.
* Understanding of the New Directions model; ability to develop and maintain support/care plans and provide individual, person-centred support and care.
* Experience working with individuals with intellectual disabilities and autism.
* Full driving license with eligibility to drive in Ireland and willingness to drive company vehicles.
* Genuine passion for working with service users with intellectual disabilities.
* Excellent communication skills.
* Ability to work as part of a team.
* Strong values and a person-centred approach.
* Proactive, enthusiastic, resilient, energetic, and fun-loving, with a passion for community activities.
* Flexible and willing to work shifts if required.
* Maintain regular communication with MDT and families of service users.
* Eligible to work in Ireland without restrictions.
