ROLE PURPOSE
As a Broker in training you will be responsible for building, maintaining and servicing a book of commercial lines insurances in line with our prospecting strategy. You will learn the craft whilst developing strong relationships with clients, teammates and insurers.
Responsibilities
Apply our sales methodology i.e. the three-meeting process to all aspects of the role, including team selling.
Source prospects/leads as per team/leadership discussions.
Analyse prospects/leads needs and current insurance programs and find opportunities to strengthen their insurance programs.
Liaise and negotiate with insurance companies to ensure the best possible outcome for clients.
Ensure timely collection of all premiums, in line with our credit terms.
Upload and update all prospects and secured clients on internal systems, Microsoft Dynamics, Relay or equivalents.
At all times maintain a professional image and provide an excellent service experience to our clients.
Take personal responsibility for delivering accurate, high-quality, right first-time outputs.
Provide support to service / marketing teams as required.
Actively seek and avail of personal development opportunities, in team projects, teammate mentoring, assisting with large renewals and new business prospects.
In all aspects of the role ensure compliance with all legal requirements, Central Bank codes and O’Leary Insurances procedures and business ethics.
Continuously strive to build strong relationships both internally and externally. Attend internal sales, client/prospect and insurer meetings, in person as required. Avail of networking opportunities as they arise.
‘Learn your craft’ – via CPD, insurer training, policy wording reviews and stay up to date on Commercial insurance products/rates and general competitor activity in the market.
Any ad-hoc tasks that may arise.

CIP Qualified, or studying for CIP
