Occupational Therapist Role Summary

* Manage a diverse caseload of adults with varying mental health needs, including anxiety, depression, psychosis, bipolar disorder, and personality disorders
* Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify functional needs and inform personalized care plans
* Design and deliver tailored interventions focused on improving daily living skills, community participation, vocational goals, and social engagement
* Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop recovery-focused care plans that cater to each individual's unique needs
* Participate in discharge planning, transition support, and liaison with primary care services, community supports, and family members
* Supervise and support junior occupational therapists or students as needed
* Maintain accurate, high-quality clinical documentation in line with professional standards
* Contribute to service improvement initiatives, including protocol development, audits, and outcome measurement
* Promote mental health awareness and advocate for occupational therapy within the wider community
Key Requirements:
* Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy (or equivalent qualification recognized by CORU)
* CORU registration is essential
* At least 3 years of post-qualification experience, with at least 1 year in adult mental health settings
* Experience delivering occupational therapy in community settings
* Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively, managing a diverse caseload
* Full driver's licence and access to own transport
