Occupational Therapist – Mental health service – Dublin
Cpl Healthcare, in partnership with our client, a leading provider of services to patients with a range of mental health conditions, is recruiting for a staff grade Occupational Therapist on a permanent basis.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-structured team providing an occupational therapy service to patients with a range of mental health conditions including neuropsychiatric presentations, enduring mental health conditions, dementia, and emerging physical disabilities through a specialist rehabilitation unit and residential treatment centre.
Responsibilities
Assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation and evaluation of treatment/intervention programmes for clients according to professional standards.
Collaboration with residents, family, carers and other staff in goal setting and treatment/intervention planning.
Participate in the multi-disciplinary/healthcare team and work in cooperation and collaboration with team members.
Manage, participate and play a key role in the practice education of student therapists and promote and engage in the teaching/training/support of others as appropriate.
Qualifications
Hold a recognised qualification as an Occupational Therapist and registration with CORU or eligible for same.
Ideally some relevant post-qualification clinical experience in a mental health/psychiatric setting; relevant placement experience will be considered.
Excellent planning and organisation skills.
