Job Title: IT Systems Delivery Project Manager (Pharmaceutical Industry)
Location: Limerick, Ireland
Work Arrangement: Fully Onsite
Contract Rate: Up to €60-65 per hour
Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced IT Systems Delivery Project Manager to lead the delivery of complex technology projects within a highly regulated pharmaceutical manufacturing environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving project execution, stakeholder engagement, Agile delivery practices, and ensuring compliance with industry standards while delivering business-critical IT solution
Key Responsibilities
Project Delivery & Governance
Lead planning, execution, monitoring, and successful delivery of IT systems projects aligned with business objectives.
Define project scope, timelines, budgets, deliverables, and resource requirements.
Track project performance and manage risks, issues, and dependencies, ensuring timely resolution.
Maintain strong project governance and ensure accurate reporting throughout the project lifecycle.
Agile Delivery Leadership
Champion Agile methodologies including Scrum, Kanban, and continuous improvement practices.
Facilitate Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, backlog refinement, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
Support teams in adopting Agile best practices to improve delivery efficiency and quality.
Stakeholder Management
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Business, Manufacturing, Quality, Validation, Regulatory Affairs, and IT.
Communicate project objectives, progress, risks, and outcomes clearly to senior stakeholders and leadership teams.
Build and maintain strong relationships to ensure alignment across all project participants.
Compliance & Quality
Ensure all IT systems and project activities comply with pharmaceutical industry regulations and quality standards.
Support validation activities, data integrity requirements, and audit readiness.
Maintain complete and accurate project documentation in line with compliance expectations.
Systems & Technology
Use Agile tools such as JIRA, Confluence, and related platforms for project delivery and tracking.
Promote automation, process improvement, and modern digital delivery approaches.
Support implementation and integration of enterprise IT systems and solutions.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline.
Proven experience delivering IT systems projects in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, life sciences, or regulated industries.
Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and project delivery frameworks.
Demonstrated experience managing scope, timelines, budgets, risks, and stakeholders.
Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
Preferred Qualifications
PMP, PRINCE2, Scrum Master, SAFe, or equivalent certifications.
Experience working in GMP / GxP regulated environments.
Knowledge of system validation, data integrity, and compliance requirements.
Experience in digital transformation or enterprise system implementations.
Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure).
Understanding of design thinking and continuous improvement methodologies.
