We’re looking for a highly skilled R&D Product Validation Specialist to join our client’s product development team. In this hands-on role, you’ll validate next-generation Alarm and IoT Sensor products, from early prototypes through to market-ready solutions.
Key Responsibilities
* Product Validation Leadership – Own and drive validation of new hardware and software products including RF modules, gateways, portals, mobile apps, and UIs.
* Prototype Build & Electrical Testing – Assemble prototype hardware; perform ESD, surge, transient, and other electrical tests using oscilloscopes, signal generators, etc.
* Troubleshooting & Collaboration – Work alongside design engineers to identify, diagnose and resolve issues across electronic circuits, firmware, and applications.
* Test Planning & Reporting – Develop detailed validation plans, execute tests, document findings, and produce clear technical reports.
* Quality Assurance – Ensure strict adherence to quality standards and contribute to the creation of technical documentation and knowledge bases.
Required Skills & Experience
* 2+ years’ experience validating and testing electronic products (hardware and software), preferably IoT, consumer electronics, or security systems.
* Strong expertise in electronics fundamentals and schematic interpretation.
* Confident using electronic test equipment (oscilloscopes, multimeters, signal generators, etc.).
* Skilled in soldering/rework, including surface-mount components.
* Analytical and meticulous, with excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
* Highly organised, able to manage workload and deliver against project timelines.
* Qualification in Electronic/Electrical Engineering (or equivalent industrial experience).
Desirable
* Experience with automated QA tools (e.g. Selenium, LabView).
* Comfortable working with mains-powered products.
* Familiarity with defect tracking systems (e.g. Jira).
* ISTQB or similar QA/testing certifications.
